Long may that continue.

Just go about our business, keep the press and tempo and keep those clean sheets whilst the Beeb jizz over someone else and we get to enjoy this new era.

Cresswell has been mustard at this club for about 6 1/2 out of his 8 years. For the other year and a half, he has been decent. I can never understand the lack of love.

Moyes obviously loves him and picks him every game.

Brenty…. Hang on … did it ruin your evening that our tight.. defensive driven 1-0 win v the Bagels was not put on as lead game last night?? You sure?? Look it was a decent performance but fuck me that was no Thriller in Manilla…

Oh and Rice played very well…. So when is he being sold to Chelsea…..

Thought I may as well jump on board the Rice being sold bandwagon…

There's been many a time over the years we've been allover Spurs and they've done exactly what happened yesterday to us.........so it gives me great pleasure to remember their comments about them being 'a class above' and that's what happens when you have a better team/players......enjoy it, they are starting to get worried.......

I looked in for enthusiastic comments from our derby victory only to find the soppy tart element on here being lachrymose about some perceived slights because our performance has not being given sufficient prominence.

Man up fuhchrissake.

I like it no ones talking about us. We’re fourth and no ones spunking all over their copy. Long may it last.

Yeh, forgot about that comment from the commentator, what a cunt. First time I've heard such, they are supposed to be impartial not make snide comments.
Pundits spent more time talking about 12th placed who had just lost.
We're really ruffling a few feathers.

13 Brentford - I thought the same - they slagged Spurs off and agreed with Nuno that we just parked the bus (not that we nullified Spurs attacks got players behind the ball then hit them on the counter) - nothing about the number of chances we created or the performance of Fornals who in the highlights was MOM.

They did say Antonio was superb and bullied their CBs...

our fowards have developed a bit of late stage wengeritis whereby every player who finds themselves with a half decent shooting opportunity thinks they can turn it into a golden opportunity with another couple of touches, only to get closed down and have that opportunity pissed away.

On the BBC football website we are about the 14th story just behind some bird who scored a hat trick for England against those power houses of football Northern Ireland and a story about a dog who ran on the pitch at a non league game in Dorset.

I noticed that, 13 son.

Also, the first thing their commentator said when they eventually got to our game was words to the effect of “it’s much bigger game for West Ham fans than it is to Spurs fans”.

Probably a Spurs supporting cunt.

MOTD 2 chose to put us on last behind Brentford v Leicester, then ignored us and spoke about Spurs.
3 games and they couldn't find time to mention us or give us any credit.
Wankers.

But that’s because Liverpool kept playing it back to the keeper so he could pick it up, funny that once that rule was scrapped Liverpool struggled.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Tottenham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
Two tactical things Moyes ought to do:

1. Keep someone on the half way line when we are defending corners, this keeps 2 or 3 of their players back and prevents them pushing up so much.

2. When defending a lead with a few minutes to go don't kick the ball forward just to lose possesion again, play keep ball at the back and manage the game out. Fabianski will kick up field and 9 times out of 10 we lose possesion. The Liverpool of old were masters at that, they went in to the lead and the opposition would never get the ball back,

H and P

The Lingard thing is a shame, he’s up there not getting a chance in an underperforming team.

If he were here he’d being playing more, effecting games and we would probably be a few points better off for having him too, could be in an even stronger position.

Real shame a sensible deal couldn’t get worked out.

I’m hopeful Vlasic will come good and we got to give him time but I reckon Jesse would have notched a couple now and not scored against us!

There's me thinking we should have played Fredericks to counter the pace of Son etc.. and Johnson is the standout player. :-) He is getting better each game and yesterday he looked a threat from an attacking perspective too. His stats were impressive too with the most touches and 90 odd percent pass completion. Coufal should not just come straight back as first choice in if the "keep the shirt" policy is properly followed but Johnson is the more versatile and can cover the left side too. Don't want that to spoil his development though. The problem of being a "utility man" can sometimes be them ending up being the "jack of all trades, master of none" thing.

Anyway, we find a way to win these days. Very pleasing. Benrahma was pretty poor on the day but was putting effort in. Very pleasing win. We just need another natural goalscorer / striker and cover for left back to be even stronger but hopefully another season or two and Moyes will plug the gaps in the squad.

Great day out and great win.

Rice's performance in recent weeks have been unbelievable. A proper leader too. Surely it won't be long before he replace Kane as England skipper. His attitude is first class - a real role model for all young players.

Johnson was very good defensively. He is a little cautious with the ball at the moment but that's understandable.

I cant tell if Soucek is struggling or Rice has just kicked on so much he is making him look bad. Either way, he needs a rest midweek.

I still get frustrated get a little with Moyes and his substitutions. We were really struggling in the final third all game. Yes we got the goal with 20 mins to go but neither Benny and Fornals weren't at it at all in an attacking sense. I'd like to see Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Vlasic given a little more time to influence a league game when we are not clicking like that. If we hadn't score one of them would have got 10 or 15 mins max. Sure they'll start on Wednesday though.
